We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our HR team! This role is an entry-level HR position that is a great opportunity to learn about HR for the right person.
We are looking for someone who is a quick learner, has great attention to detail, doesn't mind wearing different hats (we are a busy non-profit with a lot going on), and has some administrative background.
The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating Adjoin's onboarding process.
This means that the person will be working closely with both the hiring managers and the candidates in the onboarding process.
The HR Coordinator will also play a pivotal role in the HR Department by ensuring compliance, fostering positive employee relationships and cultivating a mission-driven ethical culture.

Job Duties: * Serves as primary point of contact for open positions at Adjoin by posting open positions, coordinating the onboarding needs and following up with applicants and maintaining ATS (applicant tracking system) * Maintains electronic employee personnel files by uploading, auditing documents, updating employee's information, and changing their status * Serve as primary person responsible for processing Pre-Hire requests, New Hire Set Up and Onboarding, and NewHire Paperwork Auditing * Monitors HR email box and elevates issues as needed to appropriate parties * Sends out termination paperwork as needed, coordinates with local office and payroll to ensure timelines are followed and completes employee termination checklist tasks * Provides Internal Customer Service by answering questions for staff, resetting passwords and answering employee questions * Supports Safety Administrator with duties/tasks as needed.
* Completes benefits administrative tasks as assigned such as enrollments, changes and audits under the oversight of the HR Director * Completes Term Filing and conducts Corodata maintenance such as archiving files at the end of the year * Oversees administrative duties for the DMV Pull program such as enrollments, audits, and uploads, and elevates to the HR Director as needed * Assists with I-9 tracking, audits and compliance.
Utilizes E-Verify for employment authorization.
* Actively promotes, exemplifies and teaches Adjoin’s code of ethics and Adjoin’s values * Responsible for HR Quality Assurance activities as identified by HR Director in areas of responsibility * Collaborates on annual reporting and updates as required * Ensures all activities in area of responsibility meet CARF requirements * Completes regular reporting for the HR Director on areas of oversight and other areas as requested * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * 18 years of age or older * HS Diploma or Equivalent * 1 year experience in an administrative setting supporting a variety of functions * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Well-developed interpersonal skills are critical.
* Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office) and capability to maintain well-organized records and files.
* Ability to follow detailed, multi-step instructions is critical to this position.
* Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage time is also an essential component of this position.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate and maintain professional boundaries as custodian of confidential information.
* Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition, and proof of current CA driver’s license * Ability to travel within and throughout the Southern California office locations for meetings as needed * Successful completion of pre- employment drug screen and background check.
* Physical evaluations may be required dependent upon specific assigned duties or compliance requirements and may include a TB test and/or a lift and transfer test.
* Acceptable DMV record.
