ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time Accounts Receivable Assistant (Avoya Job Title: Sales Accounting Assistant).
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sales Accounting Assistant to join our sales accounting team.
As a Sales Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records by entering and managing financial data.
Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently input and verify financial information, process invoices, and reconcile accounts.
The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for data entry, be proficient in accounting principles, and possess excellent attention to detail to ensure the integrity of our financial data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Accurately enter financial data, including invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions, into the accounting system.
Verify the accuracy of entered data to ensure the integrity of financial records.
Review and correct discrepancies in data entries promptly.
Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments to vendors and suppliers.
Assist in managing accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and tracking outstanding payments.
Support monthly bank and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in maintaining a well-organized and up-to-date general ledger.
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Track and report on expense trends to assist in budget management.

Financial Reporting: Generate basic financial reports and summaries using the accounting system.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve any data-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting and finance operations.
Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Proficiency in accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial terminology.
Strong numerical and data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Understanding of data privacy and confidentiality principles.
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION 1+ years or more of working experience in a similar role.
High School Diploma, and college courses in accounting preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15lbs at a time.
Ability to travel to home office or other locations as needed.
