The Senior Accountant position manages the full accounting cycle for the Lusardi Land Company, including AP, AR, cash management, journal entries, financial statements, and the closing process.
The position will work closely with ownership.
An understanding of real estate valuation, 1031 exchanges, basis calculation and partnership accounting is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform accounting and bookkeeping activities for the founder, shareholders, various trusts and related real estate and other entities
Manage full cycle accounting process
Close out month/quarter/year end books
Journal entries
General Ledger reconciliation
Process accounts payable/receivable
Obtain and document approvals
Manage receivables and rent collection data
Manage cash accounts and bank reconciliations
Reconcile various expense and inter-company accounts
Monitor and prepare capital calls for entities
Maintain banking relationships
Generate financial statements for multiple partnership entities
Coordinate with outside accountants, attorneys and leadership team
Capture and report expenses and identify areas for potential savings
Provide information and support required for tax return preparation
Assist with preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments for individuals and trusts
Management and training of other staff members, as well as a willingness to drill down in to the details and do transaction entries
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to prepare financial reports and analysis as necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
Sage accounting software a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years working in accounting
The pay range for this position of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
