Key Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end journal entries for loans, payroll, and various accounts
Communicate with IRS and state tax agencies to resolve client tax issues
Address client questions and concerns, providing insights into potential tax breaks and deductions
Handle basic tax filings (sales tax, 1099 filings, etc.
)
Assist in preparing tax returns for individuals and certain business types during tax season
Counsel clients on tax matters under the guidance of the Senior Accountant
Support Junior Accountants/Bookkeepers with bookkeeping tasks
Verify and post details of business transactions, reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
Review invoices, checks, statements, and records for accuracy, approving payments and assisting with customer and employee account inquiries.
Qualifications:
Essential: 3 years recent Accounting Experience
Preferred: 5 years overall experience
Bachelors in Accounting / Economics / Finance (Highly preferred)
CPA Exam Eligibility (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $50,000 - $75,000 per year.
