Staff Accountant - Accounting

JOB SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting and financial reporting functions, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Collects information necessary to prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Monitors general ledger account activity and reconciles general ledger accounts.
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in accounting, finance or business with 10 years of accounting experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree Three years of experience Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis Experience and proficiency with accounting systems Proven accounting skills and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree Certified Public Accountant Certified Management Accountant Experience with People Soft and Hyperion Not-for-profit experience Healthcare accounting experience Public accounting experience The expected hiring range for this position is $30.
