Department: Finance Reports to: Finance Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Part-Time POSITION SUMMARY Perform under minimal supervision various accounting duties including review and posting of CRM financial entries, importing payroll, keying other entries such as prepaids, maintaining fixed assets, running depreciation, balancing and reconciling financial schedules, and other duties as assigned.
Supports process improvement both within the Finance department and collaboratively with other departments to improve communication and interdepartmental processes.
Assist with support documentation for annual audit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System Generate required annual tax receipt letter to donors utilizing data and reports from the CRM system.
Review and post financial transactions in CRM system processed by Accounting Clerk(s).
Export financial entry from CRM system to be imported into organization’s accounting system.
Use CRM reports to assist with month-end financial reclass entries in the accounting system.
Use CRM reports to reconcile back to MIP balances on a monthly basis.
Accounting and Record Keeping Maintain, balance, and reconcile schedules and create journal entries for month end closing including prepaid accounts, campaign related RJEs, and others.
Reconcile, balance, and key monthly pledge allowance entry.
Import payroll entry and key monthly PTO accrual entry.
Maintain, balance, and reconcile the PTO schedule.
Reconcile the healthcare schedule and work with HR Director on employee benefits to ensure the invoices being paid to insurance providers balance to ADP payroll imports.
Maintain, balance and reconcile fixed assets and process depreciation/disposals.
Other Duties Assist with support for annual audit.
Other duties and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: AA degree in accounting or related field; a combination of directly related college course work and experience may be substituted.
Experience: Three to five years’ accounting experience REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Strong Excel skills, intermediate level strongly desired (Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, VLookUp, etc.
).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines Ability to manage competing responsibilities independently with minimal supervision to set and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with MIP software preferred Confidentiality Strong verbal and written communication skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge and understanding of GAAP PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Work Schedule: UWSD currently supports a hybrid work environment with a combination of remote and in-person work.
The amount of time spent working in-person is currently limited, but is subject to change, and strictly adheres to COVID-19 guidelines put forth by the state, county, and the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).
The typical schedule is 8:00 a.
m.
to 1:00 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday.
However, flexibility is required due to the nature of this work.
Schedule may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
