*Position Overview:*
KnowledgeCity is looking for an experienced Accountant.
The Accountant will support a range of accounting responsibilities, from AR/AP to supporting monthly close activities, will play a crucial role in implementing system enhancements to streamline current processes, and will have opportunities to participate in special cross functional projects.
This experience is critical for anyone with a passion in accounting looking to broaden their business and operational judgement.
*Who You Are:*
* Passion for working in a rapidly growing business
* Have a background with cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting reporting
* Vendor management
* AP, AR, and payroll month end close experience.
* Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems a plus
* Strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of Google applications
* Proven ability to successfully manage projects and timelines, organize/track complex information, prioritize accordingly, and the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities and demanding timelines when necessary
*Duties & Responsibilities:*
* Execute on end-to-end process ownership supporting all aspects of accounting and reporting
* Manage accounts payable process ensuring timely vendor payments, employee expense, reimbursements, vendor maintenance, and annual 1099 processing
* Develop, document and ensure adherence to proper AP accounting processes and policies
* Perform month-end close assignments, including preparation of journal ledgers, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, and analysis on variances
* Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements
* Perform other special projects, historical research, financial analysis and any additional duties as assigned
* Help to develop and mature company-wide procedures, policies, internal controls, and documentation to ensure consistency and clarity in business operations
*Qualifications:*
* 7+ years of accounting experience
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting
* Expert in QuickBooks online
* Working knowledge of ERP systems
* Comfortable working with Google sheets and docs
* Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
* Have the ability to communicate effectively with upper management and employees companywide
* Ability to work autonomously
* Extreme attention to detail with minimal errors
*Must Have Experience:*
* 7+ yrs accounting
* GAAP
* QuickBooks Online 5+ yrs
*License/Certification:*
* CPA (Preferred)
