We are currently in need of *Billing/ Collections Clerk* responsible for the accurate and timely completion of submission of Medicare, private payer and patient billing, and accounts receivable tracking and follow-up.
*BRIEF JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A BILLER:*
* Accurately enters patient billing data, including visit charges and supply charges, into the information system.
* Accurately processes and bills Medicare, Medicaid, private payer and patient claims in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy.
* Prepares Medicare, Medicaid, private payer and patient remittances for data entry.
* Performs other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, and computer operations as required.
*QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BILLER:*
* At least 2 (two) years of experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care systems.
* At least 1 (one) year of previous health care related billing experience, preferably in home health care billing.
* Able to use IBM-compatible systems and equipment.
* Is a high school graduate or equivalent, two years college preferred.
