OEC is currently seeking a part-time accounting assistant with the possibility to grow to a full-time position; who enjoys working with others, enjoys an open office workplace, and wants to be part of a small firm that works on various types of projects of various sizes and complexity.
We are looking for a candidate that is flexible and ready to take on a multitude of accounting tasks.
Part-time position hours can be flexible.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Data entry
• Accounts Payable, invoice processing and payments
• Accounts Receivable, prepares and sends monthly invoices
• General accounting department assistance
• Answers multi-line telephone system
• Provides support to owners and staff of 2 companies
• Operates standard office equipment to include; multi-line telephone system, postage machine and scale, calculator, facsimile machine, computer, printer, and photocopy machine
• Types correspondence and various documentation in proper format, proofreads and distributes as assigned
• Maintains proper response letters on computer for various incoming correspondence
• Files correspondence and documents as necessary
• Picks up or delivers plans and documents to and from client, agencies and other professionals
• Orders and restocks office supplies as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s in accounting or related field
• 1-year minimum Accounting Experience
• Individuals enrolled in accounting coursework shall be in their upper-level coursework (Junior/Senior level) and shall also meet the experience minimum requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, & other accounting software
• Organized
• Detail Oriented
• Well-rounded individual
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license, Proof of insurance, and reliable enclosed vehicle
• Immediate Start
Compensation (Varies based on Experience):
