C3 is searching for a Billing Specialist for our Finance & Accounting team, concentrating on Surety.
If you are a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving and organization skills, this could be the right opportunity for you! In this position, you will create and process customer invoices, monitor receivables, transact and enter information in our Agency Management System, and provide support to both the Accounting and Surety departments.
THE JOB
Creates customer invoices for multiple departments using Applied Epic.
Provides invoices and statements to Surety clients to ensure timely payment on outstanding invoices.
Evaluates supporting documents for accuracy and compliance within corporate Accounting standards and/or audit guidelines;
Monitors Aged Accounts Receivables and communicates with clients and agency Client Managers regarding past due balances; provides timely discrepancy resolutions with an emphasis on client service.
Perform monthly & quarterly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting of Accounts Receivable.
Performs and records deposits to the Trust and Operating bank accounts.
Organize and maintain client files as well as properly document Applied Epic with all communications and bond transactions, in accordance with company policy and professional standards outlined by the Department of Insurance.
Supports Surety Department Producers, Client Managers & Client Executives in other functions as needed.
Adherence to the stated expectations of the C3 Quality Management Program.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Entry level, >5 years experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years of experience within an Accounting environment.
Experience in an insurance agency environment preferred.
Experience using Applied Epic for insurance accounting preferred.

The applicable base hourly pay for this role is $26.
44 - $31.
25 / hour.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education.
Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
