Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

We are a leading San Diego-based public accounting firm seeking a senior accountant to handle tax preparation as well as assist with audit, review and compilation assignments.
The person hired for this position will be expected to perform the following functions: *RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES* § Preparation of Individual, Partnership, Corporate & Trust Tax Returns § Preparation of Federal & State Quarterly Estimated Payments § Assist with tax audits and tax research projects § Perform Audit, Review & Compilation Engagements with minimal oversight § Prepare Financial Statements and Supporting Schedules § Analyze clients’ internal control structure and recommend improvements § Research GAAP issues § Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
§ Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close of financial and compliance activities.
§ Supports budget and forecasting activities.
§ Collaborates with all team members to support overall objectives and client support.
§ Supports requests from other departments.
§ Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
§ Work with the President to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
§ Duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.
00 - $135,000.
