Scope of Job:
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at LEGOLAND California Resort.
In this position, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, creating forecasts and budgets, and providing valuable insights to guide strategic business decisions for the Resort.
The ideal candidate will be strategic, detail-oriented, possess exceptional financial acumen, and have the capability to transform complex data into actionable recommendations.
This role requires someone who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is dedicated to contributing to the financial success of our resort operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate actively in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, creating analyses and models that support the Finance Director and Finance Business Partners.
Gather, analyze, and interpret intricate financial data from diverse sources to recognize trends, uncover opportunities, and highlight potential risks.
Monitor and evaluate financial performance vis-a-vis budgets and forecasts, pinpointing variances and offering insights to guide corrective actions.
Conduct scenario analyses and stress tests to assess the financial ramifications of various strategic initiatives and operational changes.
Identify avenues for process enhancement, cost efficiency, and enhanced profitability.
Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to develop comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related quantitative field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting roles
Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel Wizard skills are essential
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Familiarity with accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
Experience in the hospitality, entertainment, or leisure industry is a plus
Experience with NetSuite, TM1, Power BI and Coupa is a plus
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position involves constant sitting, typing, moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Involves lifting at least 15 lbs.
and up to 40 lbs.

Work typically performed indoors but has occassional need to be outside.
