Monday Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Pay Rate: $28.
00 per hour
Education: High School diploma/GED with experience providing services to a disabled or mental health population required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
As a Housing Navigator, you will:
Provide outreach to housing resources in the community to build relationships and secure housing opportunities for clients.
Market the benefits of Sponsor Based Subsidies and other available housing subsidies to potential landlords.
Schedule and complete housing quality standard inspections with landlords and housing owners, and any county agencies if needed, for both initial move-ins, annual inspections or re-inspections.
Act as a liaison with landlords to address any issues threatening clients housing retention, including owner repairs needed to pass housing inspections.
Assist client with requirements to obtain and maintain housing, including permanent supportive housing.
Provide Medi-Cal outreach services by informing Medi-Cal recipients or those potentially eligible for Medi-Cal (who are not currently open to the system) and at-risk populations about Medi-Cal services, including Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal services
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Minimum two years of experience as a Housing Specialist required
Experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential for this position
A valid California driver's license in good standing, eligibility to be an approved CRF driver and personal vehicle are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
